Why home matters

Your home. Your routine.
Your independence.

Leaving a familiar home costs more than an address. It costs the chair by the window, the neighbor who waves, the order of the morning. Home care is the option that keeps all of that and adds the help.

Familiar surroundings

Confidence, memory and routine all hold up better in a place someone knows by heart.

The day stays theirs

Care fits around when they wake, what they eat and how they like things done, not a facility timetable.

Only as much help as is needed

Start with a few hours a week. Add more when it helps, and no sooner. Independence is the point.

Getting started

How care begins

No commitment to make the call, and no charge to be assessed. Most families go from first conversation to first visit within days.

1

Tell us what is going on

Call (888) 772-5460 or send a message. We listen first. Most of that call is you talking and us asking questions.

2

A free in-home assessment

We visit at home, walk through the day as it actually happens, and build the care plan with you rather than for you.

3

Meet your caregiver

We match a screened, trained caregiver to your family, introduce them properly, and start on your schedule.

For families

You are not just finding a caregiver. You are trusting someone with family.

We know what that decision costs, especially when it is made from another city, or after a fall, or at the end of a long stretch of doing it all yourself.

Caregivers we would send to our own parents

Background-checked, trained, and re-certified through our own annual training program.

The same familiar face

Consistency is the whole point. We keep the pairing wherever scheduling allows, with a familiar backup when it cannot.

You hear from us

Changes, concerns and good days alike. You should never have to ring to find out how it is going.

Visits are verified, not assumed

Caregivers clock in and out electronically, so arrivals are a matter of record rather than of trust.

Our promise

What you can expect from us

Not slogans: the specific commitments we hold ourselves to on every visit.

The same familiar face

We match your family with a consistent caregiver, someone your loved one gets to know and trust, visit after visit, rather than whoever happens to be free that day.

Caregivers we would trust with our own parents

Every caregiver is background-checked, trained, and re-certified through our own annual training program, not simply hired and sent out.

A real person when you call

Questions, schedule changes, concerns. You reach our Pittsburgh office directly during working hours, not a call center in another state.

Good to know

Questions families ask us

What is non-medical home care?
Hands-on help with everyday life rather than clinical treatment: bathing and dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, mobility support and companionship. It is delivered at home by a trained caregiver, and it does not involve nursing procedures or prescribing.
How do I know when it is time to consider home care?
It is usually a pattern rather than one event: meals being skipped, medication running ahead or behind, unopened mail piling up, a fall or a near-fall, less interest in leaving the house, or a family caregiver who is plainly exhausted. Any one of those is worth a conversation, and the conversation costs nothing.
How quickly can care begin?
It starts with a call and a free in-home assessment. Once the plan is agreed and a caregiver is matched, care usually begins within days. Call (888) 772-5460 and we will tell you honestly what we can do and when.
Can the schedule change as needs change?
Yes. Care plans are reviewed as circumstances change, and hours can be increased, reduced or rescheduled. Contact the office and we will work the change through with you.
Will my family member see the same caregiver each visit?
That is what we aim for, because consistency is a large part of what makes home care work. We match a caregiver to your family and keep that pairing wherever scheduling allows, with a familiar backup for holidays and illness.
