Peace of mind is knowing what happened while you were not there.
Most families do not leave their home care agency because of one disaster. They leave because of a hundred small uncertainties: a caregiver they had never met, a visit they are not sure happened, a phone that rings out. Here is what we commit to instead.
If any of this sounds familiar, you are not being difficult
These are the things families tell us when they call about changing agency. Not one of them is unreasonable to expect.
Our guarantee, in terms you can actually hold us to
A guarantee is only worth something if you can tell when it has been broken. So each of these is specific, and each one is checkable by you rather than taken on trust.
You will know every visit happened
Caregivers clock in and out electronically at the door. Visits are timestamped, not remembered. If a visit is missed or runs short, it surfaces as an exception in our system rather than disappearing, and the office chases it.
The same familiar face
We match your family with a consistent caregiver and we protect that match. Where cover is genuinely unavoidable, you hear it from us beforehand, with a name, rather than discovering a stranger at the door.
If the match is wrong, we change it
No awkward conversation required and nothing goes on anybody's record. Tell the office the fit is not right and we find a different caregiver. Getting this wrong occasionally is normal. Leaving you stuck with it is not.
A real person in Pittsburgh answers
Questions, schedule changes and concerns go to our own office during working hours. Not a national line, not a ticket number, not somebody reading your file for the first time.
We will tell you when you need less
If your father is managing better than he was, we will say so and reduce the hours. An agency that only ever recommends more care is telling you about its own revenue, not about your parent.
We will tell you when you need someone else
If what is actually needed is skilled nursing, therapy, or a level of care we do not provide, we will say so plainly and point you to it, including when that means you stop being our client.
Switching is less disruptive than families expect
The fear is a gap in care. In practice the changeover is planned around your existing schedule, and most families are not without cover for a single day.
Talk to us before you cancel anything
Nothing changes with your current agency while we work out whether we can genuinely cover the hours and the area. If we cannot, we will tell you on that call.
We build the plan around the routine that already works
You should not have to rebuild everything from scratch. Whatever your current caregiver got right, we want to know about it and keep it.
You give notice on your terms
Check your existing agreement for the notice period. We schedule our start date around it, so the two do not leave a hole in the middle.
We overlap where it helps
A first visit while the old arrangement is still running is often the calmest way to do it, particularly for someone with memory problems, for whom change is hardest.
Things we would rather tell you now than have you find out later
Every agency page tells you what it is good at. Here is the other half, because you are going to discover it anyway and it is better coming from us.
- We are non-medical. We do not do wound care, injections, or anything requiring a nurse. If that is what you need, you need home health care, which is a different service with different funding. Our guide to the difference between the two explains which one you are looking for.
- We do not serve everywhere. We cover Pittsburgh and the boroughs around our office. If your street falls outside that, we will say so rather than stretch and then be unreliable.
- We cannot promise the identical caregiver every single visit forever. People take holidays and get ill. What we can promise is that you are told in advance, by name.
- There are no client testimonials on this website. Not because nobody is happy, but because we will not publish a quote we have not been given permission to use. Judge us on the specifics above instead.
Start with a conversation, not a commitment
Tell us what the week actually looks like and we will tell you honestly what would help, including if that turns out not to be us. There is no charge for the conversation and no obligation at the end of it.
Mon to Fri, 10:00am to 5:00pm. If you would rather read first, the questions to ask any agency work just as well on us.
